The Civitavecchia Train Station is conveniently located within walking distance of the port, making it an easy option for travelers arriving by cruise ship. The walk takes approximately 10–15 minutes and is simple and pleasant.
From Forte Michelangelo exit at Varco Fortezza and take Via Giuseppe Garibaldi, then follow the signs for the train station, it is a walk of about 600 meters.
From Largo della Pace, pass the roundabout and take Via XVI Settembre, then continue to the end, then turn right. Take, finally, via Giuseppe Garibaldi and follow the signs for the train station. In this case the walk is a bit longer, about 1.5 km
A dedicated public shuttle service provides a direct connection between the Civitavecchia Train Station and the cruise ship terminals, operating in both directions.
This service is exclusively reserved for cruise passengers and runs only on ship arrival and departure days. Shuttles operate from approximately 7:00–7:30 a.m. until 6:30–7:00 p.m., ensuring convenient transfers throughout the day.
The fare is €6 per person, per journey, and tickets can be purchased directly on board the shuttle.
Civitavecchia Train Station offers a free assistance service for passengers with disabilities or reduced mobility. This service is available upon request and is designed to support travelers throughout the station, including assistance with stairs and access to certain platforms.
